Tap dancer

Kate has been a Tap Dancer for over 10yrs having trained under Raewyn Burgess, Brandon and Brigid Carter-Chan. She is a founding member of Tap NZ and has won many major Tap Dance Competitions with Brandon’s Tap Solos including the prestigious Auckland Caledonian Tap Award in 2025.

In 2026, Kate performed as a Company Tap Dancer in Tap Fusion for the opening of the NZ Fringe Festival and guest performed with Tap NZ for World of Dance NZ.

She now continues to pass on her knowledge of Tap Dance to the next generation as an up and coming dance teacher.
